Your Guide to Study in Denmark

Popular Programs in Denmark
Major Intakes & Deadlines
Intake
Term Start
Application Deadlines
The Autumn (September) intake is the primary admission period for most universities, while the Spring (February) intake is offered by select universities, mainly for international students; deadlines vary, so checking individual university websites is recommended.
Scholarships
Denmark offers three main types of scholarships for international students. The Erasmus Mundus programme is open to both EU/EEA and non-EU/EAA students. Through the Erasmus Mundus scheme, you can apply for a scholarship to study specific Master's degree programmes. The courses are offered jointly by a Danish institution and another European university or college. These scholarships, which are often fully funded, cover tuition, a monthly living stipend, travel, and installation costs, and require students to apply directly to the specific program they are interested in. Even Danish universities receive a limited number of government scholarships each year to fund highly qualified full-degree students from non-EU/EEA countries and Switzerland. Other private scholarships include the Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation Scholarship, JN Tata Endowment Loan Scholarships and the JN Tata Endowment Loan Scholarships among many others.
In order to be eligible for a Danish government scholarship, you must be - a citizen of a country outside the EU, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, enrolled in a full degree higher education programme and granted a time-limited residence permit in Denmark due to education
Denmark hosts many Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's programs, which are delivered by partnerships of at least three universities from three different countries, and scholarships cover tuition, a monthly living allowance, and travel costs.
There are also university-specific and program specific scholarships in universities like
Aalborg University: Offers a national student scholarship for master's students, as well as an international student scholarship covering 100% of tuition and providing a monthly stipend.
Aarhus University: Offers Danish state scholarships for master's students.
Copenhagen Business School (CBS): Provides 25 scholarships annually for international master's students
IT University of Copenhagen: Offers state university scholarships for talented master's students from outside the EU/EEA.
University of Copenhagen: Offers grants and tuition waivers through the Danish government scholarship program for talented students, and the OFID scholarship for students from developing countries.
Roskilde University: Provides Danish state tuition fee waivers and scholarships.
